POMFREY, Marie (Dolly) Lillian, 89, of Mechanicsville, widow of William F. Pomfrey Jr., went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 26, 2008. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Pomfrey, Carolyn Walsh (Tommy); son, Ron Pomfrey (Sandy); two brothers, Bernard Jenkins of Richmond and Calvin Jenkins of New York; her loving poodle, Gigi; eight grandchildren, Tommy Walsh (Beverly), Angela Hadley (Carl), Ronnie Pomfrey Jr. (Katherine), Ginger Skinner (Keith), Vicki Hughes, Christopher Thacker (Kim), Gilbert Hughes Jr. (Phet); and devoted, Mark Walsh (Shelby); seven great-grandchildren; also her loving caregivers, Ana Spigle and Thomasina Clark. She was a member of the Mechanicsville United Methodist Church and Mechanicsville Chapter 138 O.E.S. The family will receive friends at the Mechanicsville Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., on Thursday, February 28, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and where funeral services will be held Friday, February 29 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
