WALSH, Carolyn Pomfrey. In loving memory of a special wife, mother and grandmother, Carolyn, who passed unexpectedly on January 7, 2009. God has called her home to be with her mother, Marie Pomfrey "Dolly" and father, William Frederick Pomfrey, whom preceded her in death. She is survived by loving husband, Thomas H. Walsh Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Carl Hadley; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Shelby Walsh, and son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Beverly Walsh; sister, Sharon Pomfrey and brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Sandy Pomfrey. Her life was greatly fulfilled with her five grandchildren, Ashley and Jack Rice, Hayden Walsh, and Annah and Noah Walsh, whom she adored and loved whole heartedly. Her zest for life included many years of holiday celebrations with friends and family, trips to see the Atlanta Braves and visits to Myrtle Beach. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Mechanicsville Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
