Obituary

WEST POINT - Russell Earl Carter Jr., 63, of West Point, Va., died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006. He was retired from Smurfit Stone and Sanders Construction Company. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Carter; five children, Belinda Eveland, Renee McKeel, Chell Ann, Mitz John and Earl Russell; a sister, Betty Couch; and three grandchildren, Ashley, R.C. and John Tyler. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Vincent Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 417 11th St., West Point, Va. Burial in Sunny Slope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Earl Russell Carter Trust Fund, c/o Baylands Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 392, West Point, VA 23181.
