Minute Book 22, 1821-23, p. 317; "A Court having been called to meet on the 8th day of March last for the examination of Patrick Jordan charged with feloniously stealing, taking, and carrying away from the premises and land of Byrd George and against his consent three hundred hoop poles or thereabouts which Court having failed to meet, the prisoner was set to the Bar in custody of the Sheriff and a Court of examination is now opened upon him and on the motion of the prisoner and for reasons appearing to the Court it is ordered that the examination of the said Jordan be continued to the next Court and thereupon he and Neil McCardy his security entered into a recognizance in the penalty of $200...for his appearence at the next court to answer the felony aforesaid."

Minute Book 22, p. 322; 1822 Patrick Jordan who stands charged... 300 hoop poles...this day appeared in discharge of his recognizance...and was set to the Bar in custody of the Sheriff...sundry witnesses were thereupon sworn and examined...William Selden and Robert G. Scott his counsel...On consideration whereof the Court is of Opinion that the said Patrick Jordan is not guilty of the charge aforesaid and it is ordered that he be discharged..."

H. P. Thomas and Ellen E. his wife Pltf. Patrick Jordan died a number of years ago in Henrico Co. leaving a will. He was survived by a widow Frances Jordan and six children, they being all of his children. Frances is now dead. Children: Edgar, Portamah, Sarah A.(or S., later), Louisa, Ellen E., and Ophelia. Edgar m. Lizzie (he died intestate and she survives him) he left 2 chidlren William Jordan and Ida V. who m. William Pemberton. William Jordan is 18 years old and William Pemberton is dead. Portamah m. George Schonberger and both are dead and survived by one adult child William Schonberger. sarah A. m. Barney McDonough who's now dead. Louisa m. Louis Schonberger and both are dead but survived by two sons Louis and James H. James H. is dead, survived by his widow Rosa and one child Ruby V. 2 years old. ellen E. Thomas is the Ellen E. Jordan of this bill. Ophelia m. Andrew Jackson and she's dead, he's living as are three children Patrick, George, and Minnie, all adults. Patrick Jackson m. Alice, Minnie m. Thomas Avery. Lizzie Jordan, Ida V. Pemberton and William Jordan are non-residents of VA.
Patrick Jordan left little personal estate of any value. He did own a farm in Henrico, Varina District, about 5 miles from city of Richmond near Seven Pines Road containing aobut 100 and 1/8 acres and worth about $1,200.00. Complaintants wanted the land divided, but it produced no income and "was gradually being eaten up by taxes". No one wanted to buy the others out, so they wanted it sold and the money divided. Apparently, this began in Aug. of 1894
Filed 3 April, 1893: Ernest H. Wills was appointed by the court as guardian for infants Ruby V. Schonberger and William Jackson. He asked to have time to prove all the statements in the bill in order to protect the interests of the infants. This done by Court in city of Manchester, VA
Feb. 4, 1896 - Commissioner J. R. V. Daniel reported to court that Patrick Jordan died in 1871 in Henrico Co and was survived by the widow (his 2nd wife) and by children of the 1st wife. Widow Frances Ann Jordan died over three years ago. Children of Patrick Jordan at time of his death were:
1. Edgar Jordan (since deceased)
2. Potama Schonberger wife of George
3. Ellen E. Thomas wife of H. P.
4. Sarah S. McDonough wife of Joseph (I just realized that he was Barney before)
The two following died before Patrick Jordan
5. jaane E. Baker wife of George C. - both dead without issue
6. Patrick Jordan, Jr. died under full age and unmarried
7. Louisa wife of L. J. Schonberger - both dead - two children

b. J. H. Schonberger - now dead who married Rosa Hamilton now living and has one child now living, Ruby V. 4 years old.

Portama and George Schonberger both now dead. Their son William is aged 21.
Mr. Daniel stated that the will was as presented in the original bill. He made an accounting of the estate.
8 May 1896 - H. P. Thomas had died and now his wife Ellen E. took his place in the bill.
1896 - The court directed that the land be sold and the money divided among the heirs. There was a bill for $25.00 for the coffin of Mrs. Frances Ann Jordan, dated 20 Dec. 1892.
Distribution was made 19 May 1898. Nobody got much. Minnie got $13.69.55
