Obituary
Joseph Warren Hoffman, 93, of Hughesville, Md. passed away July 21, 2015 at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Md. Born November 26, 1921 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late William F. Hoffman and the late Mary E. Reid Hoffman.

Joe was a member of Calvary Chapel of Waldorf, the 2N1 club, Clark Senior Center, and the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and was an active member serving for many years on the Aging council at the Clark Senior Center. He received the Silver Threads Award from Senior Services of Charles County in 2005 for his volunteer service.

In addition to his parents Joseph was predeceased by his wife of 60+ years, Anne Helene Hoffman, his brother Frederick Hoffman, and sister, Ellen Tayman.

Joseph is survived by his children, William L. Hoffman of Bowie, Md., Kenneth R. Hoffman of Hernando, Florida, and Ann Marie Armstrong of Baltimore, Md. He has 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for Joseph's visitation on Tuesday August 4, 2015 from 2-4 pm. and 6-8 pm. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., at 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, Md. 20622. He will be laid to rest at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, Upper Marlboro, Md. at 1:45pm. on Wednesday August 5, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to: The Clark Senior Center, on behalf of Joseph Warren Hoffman.
