Helene Hoffman, 82 of Hughesville, MD died on November 25, 2003 at her residence.

Born on July 30, 1921 in Morganza, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Kathleen Abell Russell. She was a homemaker and also was a member of the American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, 2-n-1 Club, and Richard R. Clark Senior Center.

Her husband, Joseph Warren Hoffman, children William Lee Hoffman, Kenneth Ray Hoffman, and Anne Marie Winslow, siblings, Dick Russell, Lambert Russell, Dorothy Shavatt, and Roselyn Hurry survive Mrs. Hoffman. Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive her.

Family received friends on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 from in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD with prayers recited at 7:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today, Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at 11:30am at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Bryantown, MD. Father Joseph Kleinstuber will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at 1pm in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
