"Catherine H. McMichael, 87, died Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. McMichael; and a granddaughter, Dora Cruz. Survivors include her sons; Lawrence E. McMichael of Stafford, and Thomas H. McMichael of Lorton; her daughter, Juanita Cruz of Stafford; a sister, Margaret R. Irland of Flint, Michigan; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel, is handling the arrangements. A private funeral service will be held at Greenwich Presbyterian Church, with interment following in the church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to The Salvation Army National Headquarters, P.O. Box 269, Alexandria, VA 22313 or at salvationarmyusa.org."
