He was a Civil War veteran [Co. E, 148 Ind.]. He married Harriet House 1 March 1871 and from this union was born 4 sons and a daughter. One son died in infancy. His mother died when he was but 3 years old." Buried in Coster family plot, Mooresville Cemetery.
