Age 75. Born in Prince William Co., Va.; third of eight children of John and Catharine Bless House, natives of Germany. On Sept. 5, 1845, he married Elizabeth King. They had two children, Sarah Jane and Harriet. Wife died Sept. 28, 1848; daughter Sarah Jane died at the age of 5.
Married Sarah E. Fultz on Oct. 25, 1849; they had eleven children: Anna, Virginia, Charlotte (died 1879, age 24), Nathaniel (deceased), Dora, Douglas, John, Otto, Catharine, Gertrude (deceased), and Ethel. Member M.E. Church.
