Dr. Allan B. Larson of Orangeburg, NY died Friday, September 3, 1999 at his home. He was 56. Dr. Larson worked as Director of Process Research and Development for Wyeth-Ayerst in Pearl River. Dr. Larson was born February 9, 1943 in Downers Grove, IL to Ragnar and Mary Quigley Larson. Dr. Larson graduated from Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, receiving his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy. He received his masters degree from the University of Wisconsin and his doctorate from Purdue University. On April 17, 1971 he married Virginia House in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Larson lived in Orangeburg for the past 2 years. Before that, he lived in Peru, NY. Dr. Larson loved to travel, loved sports, and was an avid collector of music. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; son, Michael of Richmond, VA; daughter, Jacie Larson of Burlington, MA; mother, Mary Larson of Woodridge, IL; brothers, Ken Larson of Woodridge, IL and John Larson of Naperville, IL. Visiting will be held Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral service to be held Tuesday at 8:30 pm at the Funeral Home. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Main and Grant Street, Downers Grove, IL 60515 or the United Methodist Church, 130 Franklin Ave., Pearl River, NY.
