Married first to Candace L. Conduitt, and they were the parents of nine children together. She died March 11, 1833.

Then he married Catherine Monical on June 9, 1833, in Morgan Co., Ind. She died July 25, 1843, just days before Jesse.

Jessie and Catherine had three children:

Mation Louise (B: Aug. 9, 1837)
Sarah E. (B: Sept. 3, 1842)

Eli Rooker b. est 1817 not found in census records, John Dayton Rooker (1817-1847), William Ashbury Rooker (1819-1949), Edith Rooker Tansey (1822-1907), Martha C. Rooker Ballard (1822-1843), Samuel Moore Rooker (1824-1900), Elizabeth Jane Rooker Ballard (1831-1891). Likely there were more children between 1825 and 1830.
