Frances Pomeroy Holdaway, 91, of Indianapolis passed away March 29, 2016. She was born January 5, 1925 in Indianapolis to the late Glenn and Ester McCauley Pomeroy. Frances graduated from Tech High School and worked as a secretary for Methodist Hospital for many years. She was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church and the Spinners Club. Frances was also a hostess for the Italian Gardens and she enjoyed line dancing, bowling, traveling and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 12 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Shirley brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St.

Frances survived by her children, Charles F. "Chuck" Holdaway (Stephanie), Ronald Steven "Steve" Holdaway (Mit), Carol McClarnon (Mike), Cheri Kinz(Kevin), Cindy Leffel(Jim), Cathy Furgerson; cousin, Jean Gieseking; best friend, Lois Ann Maish; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Charles Holdaway; brother, Bob Pomeroy; sisters, Elizabeth Wilson, Elise Kinnick, Louise Petty; grandson, Andy Turner; and granddaughter, Kelly Turner.
