Obituary
Patricia Ann Pomeroy, age 85 of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 with her family at her side. She was born in Indianapolis to Glen and Lillian Hefferman and they preceded her in death.

Pat graduated from Arsenal Technical High School with the Class of 1945. She was a window decorator for Wm. H. Block for 14 years. Later, she worked for Windsor Dress Shop, and after that took a job at Hygrade Meatpacking Co. in the office. Pat also worked at D.C. Heath. She owned and operated Insurance Premium of Greenwood for 23 years and with her husband Robert, they also owned Insurance Brokers of Indiana until retiring in 1992.

Pat was a member of Indianapolis Singletons for 17 years serving as Treasurer, Activities Director and Special Event Director. In 1969 she was named Valentine Queen and in 1973 she was chosen as Miss Indianapolis Singleton representative for the United States. Pat loved to be involved in organizing events. She also was an avid gardener and loved to "Care for the animals and help Mother Nature beautify the land". Pat and Robert enjoyed antique cars and were proud to be snowbirds, staying in Sebring, Florida and being involved in activities there.

She married Robert William Pomeroy in 1976, who preceded her in death. Pat is survived by her children, Richard "Rick" (Tracey) Pomeroy and Vicki (Mike) Lewis; grandchildren, Rachael Wagoner, AnnJee Kirstein, Glen (Stacey) Pomeroy and Brian Priest; eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Geraldine Campbell.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Pastor Shan Rutherford officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
