Lonell T. Taylor, 85, of Toano, died Friday, February 22, 2002. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where she was very active as a Sunday School teacher and the WMU. She loved to cook and to share her famous pies with everyone. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Stewart Taylor and a son, Ray Taylor. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara McKown and Beverly Hall, both of Toano; two sons, Cliff Taylor of Lanexa and Bill Taylor of Toano; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at 2 p.m. in the Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. David Riley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bucktrout of Williamsburg Funeral Home Monday evening. Memorial donations may be made to the James City County-Toano Volunteer Fire & Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 321, Toano, Va. 23168. Bucktrout of Williamsburg is in charge of the arrangements.
