Obituary
George Marion Parrish, the 8th child in a family of 12 children, was born April 20, 1853 at Martinsburg, Iowa. His mother died when he was a mere boy, but his father lived to carry on for the family. It was at Martinsburg that Dr. Parrish grew to young manhood and he attended high school at Sigourney, Iowa, nearby.
Miss Minta M. Barnett of Macedonia, Iowa and Dr. Parrish were married at Lincoln, Nebraska, May 21, 1895.
Those who are left to mourn his passing are Mrs. G. M. Parrish, George Marion Parrish, Jr., both of Chelan and Edward E. Parrish, a son by a former marriage, who resides at Leavenworth, and a granddaughter, Virginia Parrish of Leavenworth. Dr. Parrish also leaves two brothers, Millard F. Parrish of Santa Rosa, Ca., and J. C. Fremont Parrish of Waseca, Iowa.
